These days cancer is spreading like virus. After Irrfan Khan, Sonali Bendre, Rishi Kapoor and Tahira Kashyap, the latest Bollywood celebrity who gets diagnosed with cancer is none another Hrithik Roshan’s father Rakesh Roshan. Recently Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan reveals that his father Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with “early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat” (throat cancer) and he will undergo surgery for the same.
Hrithik reveals this news by sharing a picture with his father from the gym and captioned it,
“Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn’t miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. Love you Dad.”
The moment Hrithik revealed the news, several celebrities started pouring messages for his speedy recovery. Even Indian prime minister Narendra Modi prayed for his good health.
Rakesh Roshan is an Indian producer, director, screenwriter, editor , former actor and music director in Hindi films. He appeared in 84 films throughout the 1970s and 1980s till 1989.
