Sunrisers Hyderabad played against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. In which with the help of great innings played by captain David Warner and Johnny Bairstow, Hyderabad won the match with 9 wickets. It is Kolkata’s consecutive 5th-time and total 6th-time loss in IPL 2019.
During this match, some fans who were in the stands were not pleased and the reason for it was something bizarre. A group of 6 people in the corporate box, created a ruckus during the match by drinking alcohol. One of the persons identified as Santhosh registered a complaint against that group which also included a prominent Telugu TV actor Prashanthi.
They created a nuisance and troubled the other fans in the neighbouring boxes as well. One of the fans filed a police complaint against Prashanthi and her friends. The fan told the media and police that these people threatened him of dire consequences for protesting. A video of their actions started doing the rounds on the internet. Watch it below:
Police have registered a case against Prashanthi and her friends under Section 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 506 (Criminal Intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides sections of the City Police Act.
