Famous South Indian actor who turned politician, JK Rithesh recently put people in shock. He died at age 46 while he was doing an election campaign. Rithesh was last seen in film LKG. He was a member of AIADMK (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam).

On Saturday, while doing an election campaign at Ramnathpuram, he got a massive cardiac arrest. He was then immediately taken to the hospital, where he took his last breath. Film trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#BREAKING: Actor and Ex-Lok Sabha MP #JKRitheesh who was recently seen in the movie #LKG is no more…He died of a heart attack sometime back in #Ramanathapuram. May his soul RIP!”
Rithesh debuted in South Indian cinema in 2007. He worked in many South Indian films. He was born in Kandy (Sri Lanka) before migrating to Rameswaram in 1976. He is survived by his wife and a son.
After his death, his party and his fans are in shock. He had started off his political career by joining Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party but in 2014, he quit in order to join AIADMK.
