It seems that the protesters are now going to intensify the stir. On Sunday they announced that they will go on a day-long relay hunger strike on Monday at all protest sites.

The hunger strike of the farmers has started today on Monday against the government’s new agricultural laws. They started their protest at the end of November and till now they are waiting for the decision of the government. Just because five rounds of negotiations failed, the government on Sunday appealed to the protesting farmers to choose a date for the next round of talks. But it seems that the stir has been intensifying and even after the assurances from the government on the minimum support price or MSP; farmers say they want the laws no longer valid.
Let us tell you that the relay hunger strike is the third national event that is taking place after a countrywide shutdown earlier this month, and now the numbers seem to increase at Delhi’s border. The things that are taking place are continuously backed by opposition parties and trade unions, and last week’s hunger strike by farmer leaders. Announcing the protest one of the leaders of the protest, named Swaraj India chief Yogendra Yadav, told reporters: “We will hold an indefinite relay hunger strike here, in which 11 people will take it in turns to fast for 24 hours each.” Not just this the protesters also asked the country to skip meals just for a day on Kisan Diwas on Wednesday 23rd December. And the reason for this is to honor those who provide us with three times meal a day.
Now there are updates that Protesting farmers will participate in the hunger strike in batches and their first batches will have 11 members, according to farmer leaders. Not just this Yogendra Yadav Swaraj India chief urged everyone to do the same thing nationwide.
