Girls who are aspiring models but don’t have size 0, there is a good news for you. Surprisingly, fashion companies are now banning models who are size 0. A law has passed in France considering the healthy life of models in mind
A law has passed in France recently. This law suggests models who aspire to be the part of the fashion industry will have to hand over a doctor’s note. This note will be a test that proves they are healthy and are at an appropriate BMI. Therefore, fashion companies in France are instituting a hiring ban on models who are below size 0.
A CEO of a top brand company stated that “We hope to inspire the entire industry to follow suit. Thus, making a real difference in the working conditions of fashion models industry-wide.”
As reported last year in a leading newspaper, most of the models of fashion industry were found the patients of malnutrition. They starved themselves to be skinny or size 0. The companies want their models to be fit and healthy. Let’s hope this encourages other fashion companies in the world too who stress their models to become or to have size 0.
