In a surprising instance, a cop from Telangana first rewarded and then on the very caught while doing an illegal act. Named as Palle Thirupati Reddy, a police constable at the I Town police headquarters in Mahbubnagar got the ‘Best Constable’ grant on Independence Day from Telangana Minister V Srinivas Goud.
Just within the 24 hours of being awarded, he was caught by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while he was taking a bribe. Call it a twist of fortune or what so ever!
ACB DSP S Krishna Goud told the media that he had supposedly been harassing a local man of Venkatapur town, recognized as Ramesh, for around one year. Ramesh said that the constable would stop him at whatever point he was moving sand in his tractor, despite the fact that he had all the substantial and authoritative archives to do as such.
He wanted to have a bribe from him. Ramesh finally consented to pay Rs 17,000 to the constable and after that, he gave the lead to Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). Palle Thirupati Reddy was caught red-handed while taking bribe from Ramesh. After his capture, the constable was displayed under the steady gaze of a unique court for ACB cases and sent to legal remand.
