The internet is going crazy after reports are doing the rounds that the 007 licence has been reassigned in the new James Bond film to an agent who is both female and black. Yes, in the 25th film of Bond which is yet to be titled, Captain Marvel star Lashana Lynch will play the secret agent.
Lashana Lynch has been cast as 007 – taking over Bond’s secret agent number after his character leaves MI6. Reportedly, 25th film of the Bond series opens with Bond (Daniel Craig), retired in Jamaica, being called back to action to fight a new villain. An inside source told the media, “There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says, “Come in 007”, and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman. “It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman.”

To let you know, James Bond hasn’t left the building; he has, however, quits active service. The Daily Mail stated, “semi-retired James Bond finds out from spymaster M, played by Ralph Fiennes, that his 007 codename has been handed over to a female agent of colour.
However, Twitter is slamming this decision blaming it for both feminism and political correctness. Here are some reactions:
31 years old Lashana Lynch is a popular actress who played pilot Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel. Bond 25 also co-stars Rami Malek, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris and Lea Seydoux.
