5 Cricketers Who Were Once The Heroes of IPL But Now Everyone Has Forgotten Them!


IPL is the most celebrated tournament of the cricket world. Currently, the 11th season of the is going on in full swing. It stands for 3 Cs Cricket, cash and Controversy. There were some players who made it to the big stage but later faded away. So, today we are going to meet you the forgotten heroes of IPL.

1) Swapnil Asnodhkar

Swapnil Asnodkar, an Indian first-class cricketer. He was the part of Rajasthan Royals team in the Indian Premier League. He played a total of 20 IPL matches in which he accumulated 423 runs at an average of 21.15. He played his last IPL match against Kings XI Punjab in the 2011 season.

2) Kamran Khan

Kamran Khan played in the Indian Premier League for Rajasthan Royals and later Pune Warriors. He struggled with poverty as he was the son of a woodcutter. Kamran left cricket in 2013 for some unknown reasons.

3) Paul Valthaty

The other forgotten hero is Paul Valthaty, he played for Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League. However, after 2012 he was not seen playing for any team.

4) Manvinder Bisla

Remember the swift wicket-keeper for Kolkata Knight Riders, Manvinder? He played a match-winning inning of 89 off 48 balls against the Chennai Super Kings in the final of the 2012 IPL to guide his team to a 5 wicket win. But after 2015 he got vanished from the IPL.

5) Joginder Sharma

One of the famous bowlers of the IPL and also the hero of ICC World Cup 2007. He took 12 wickets in 16 matches that he played for Chennai Super Kings. Due to his major accident in 2011, his cricket career came to an end. He is currently serving Haryana Police as a DSP.
