Everyone can watch anything this month. Starting with Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Pooja’ returning to the big screen once more in Dream Girl 2, Dulquer Salmaan morphing into a rural King of Koth, we’ll also see SF9’s Rowoon returning in his rom-com guise with Jo Bo-ah in Destined with You, among other things.

My Lovely Boxer (August 21)
Ensemble: Lee Sang-yeob, Kim So-hye
In the drama series My Lovely Boxer, the focus is on the outstanding boxer Lee Kwon Sook (Kim So Hye) and the cunning agent Kim Tae Young (Lee Sang Yeob). Kim Tae Young is a cold-blooded figure who is shamelessly engaged in match-fixing for financial advantage and the success of his sportsmen. Han Jae Min, Lee Kwon Sook’s old flame and the vice principal of a preschool, is portrayed by the skilled actor Kim Jin Woo.
Star Wars Ahsoka (August 23)
Ensemble: Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, Diana Lee Inosanto, David Tennant, Lars Mikkelsen and Eman Esfandi
The planned limited series Ahsoka is a sequel to Star Wars Rebels and a precursor to The Mandalorian. It takes place at the same period as Return of the Jedi and its sequels in the Star Wars universe. The series, which was created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, follows Ahsoka Tano as she looks into a fresh danger to the galaxy following the fall of the Empire. Ahsoka seems to be an interesting new character in the Star Wars series with a fantastic cast.
Destined with You (August 23)
Ensemble: Jo Bo Ah, Rowoon
The love tale of Lee Hong Jo (Jo Bo Ah), a government servant who finds a forbidden book that has been kept hidden for three centuries, is told in the fantasy romance drama Destined With You. She explores the enigmatic book more and finds that her life takes an unexpected turn. A bright lawyer named Jang Shin Yu (Rowoon) also becomes a victim of the same banned book, which has mystical repercussions that interweave their destiny.
King of Kotha (August 24)
Ensemble: Dulquer Salmaan, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod Jose, Shammi Thilakan, Saran, and Anikha Surendran.
In the Dulquer Salmaan film King of Kotha, Kannan Bhai and his gang are the main group in a town where crime is rampant. Inspector Shahul creates a smart strategy to reinstate the reign of the “King” out of retaliation and determination to overthrow their authority. As the struggle for control of the town intensifies, this causes a dramatic shift in the course of things.
Who is Erin Carter? (August 24)
Ensemble: Evin Ahmad, Sean Teale, Indica Watson and Douglas Henshall.
A British teacher named Erin Carter (Evin Ahmad) resides in Spain with her family. Her actual identity as a competent fighter is revealed during a supermarket heist. Erin must now hide her true identity while working to shield her family from the effects of her past. Erin has been living the expat dream, but her life is increasingly dangerous and unpredictable.
Dream Girl 2 (August 25)
Ensemble: Ayushmann Khurrana, Ananya Panday
In the sequel of the 2019 movie Dream Girl, which starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushratt Bharuccha, Ananya Panday plays the love interest for Pooja, played by Ayushmann Khurrana.In Dream Girl 2, Karam, a young guy from Mathura who is battling debt from his father, is the main character. Karam is in a bad predicament since his father has borrowed money from practically everyone in the community.
Akelli (August 25)
Ensemble: Nushrratt Bharuccha
Akelli, starring Nushrratt Bharuccha in the title character, is a moving story of a young lady who, owing to her circumstances, finds herself alone in a perilous world. The narrative follows her journey as she tries to overcome the difficulties and impediments that stand in her way.
Retribution (August 25)
Ensemble: Liam Neeson, Noma Dumezweni, Lilly Aspell, Jack Champion, Embeth Davidtz and Matthew Modine.
The genre of a man protecting his family from danger has become associated with Liam Neeson. He portrays a guy in Retribution who, on a typical day, drops his kids off at school and then receives a bomb threat. He must take matters into his own hands and confront the threat head-on as the last chance to save his loved ones.
Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine (August 25)

Susumu Mitsunaka is the director of the Japanese mystery anime Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine. It was published following the 2022 film Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween and is the twenty-sixth installment in the Case Closed series, which is based on the same-named manga by Gosho Aoyama.
Goldfish (August 25)

On August 25, Deepti Naval and Kalki Koechlin’s film Goldfish will be released in cinemas. The film, which is produced by Anurag Kashyap and directed by Pushan Kripalani, centres on a mother and daughter who are dealing with memory and identity-related problems.
