There will be a tonne of thrillers and new seasons of well-known shows this week. While Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 and Kohrra and Kajol’s The Trial are two of the most eagerly awaited series on OTT platforms, they do not have the same level of fandom as Tom Cruise’s other films. While the highly anticipated Bird Box Barcelona spinoff has everyone in the K-drama community thrilled, King the Land is a Korean television series.
Here are the forthcoming films and streaming options you can plan to watch this week:
Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning Part One (July 12)
Tom Cruise, who plays Ethan Hunt, and his IMF crew are about to go on a dangerous mission as they head in the direction of the deadliest weapon currently on the loose. This weapon is a threat to humanity, and it must be found at all means before it endangers the entire planet.
King The Land (July 13)
This week, King The Land is the only Korean television programme to anticipate. It tells the story of Goo Won, the heir to a wealthy hotel group, as told by Lee Jun-ho. He had to cope with an inheritance conflict inadvertently.
The Magic Of Shiri (July 13)
The Magic of Shiri is a magic thriller series directed by Birsa Dasgupta. The lead actress, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, is joined by actors like Jaaved Jaaferi. The series immerses you in the realm of magicians and centres on a lady who battles tough competition to establish herself as the most notable magician.
What We Do in the Shadows Season 5 (July 13)
What We Do In The Shadows’ fifth season will keep you riveted with its compelling vampire story. The plot of the fifth season will centre on Guillermo’s admirable transformation as Lazlo and the other vampire battalion grow suspicious of what is happening.
The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha (July 14)
The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, and Dhokha, which is due to stream this week, demonstrates how much better Kajol is getting with each OTT project she has in the works. This film, directed by Suparn S. Varma, is a courtroom drama in line with the current style of the genre. The Good Wife, an American online series, served as its inspiration. Kajol plays the part of Noyonika, a lawyer who returns to practise after her husband is imprisoned for a scandal.
Bird Box Barcelona (July 14)
Bird Box Barcelona can be seen as more of a spin-off story than the prequel or sequel to the 2018 film, which is what most people would think it to be. The story centres around a secret power that decimates the world’s people; Sebastian must navigate the destruction through the deserted streets of Barcelona.
Ishq-e-Nadaan (July 14)
Ishq-e-Nadaan, directed by Avishek Ghosh, boasts a large ensemble cast that includes, to name a few, Lara Dutta, Neena Gupta, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Mohit Raina. It combines the individual love tales of three different couples. It navigates the enduring strength of love, and the journey towards self-discovery through all of it.
College Romance Season 4 (July 14)
You can never go wrong with a TVF production, and Ashutosh Pankaj’s College Romance, now in its last season, is no exception. This college dramedy follows a tight group of seven friends as they overcome challenges and difficulties to graduate from their last years of study.
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 (July 14)
The Summer I Turned Pretty, a television series based on Jenny Han’s book of the same name, has returned for its second season. She has a feeling that the forthcoming summer would be very different from the previous ones because she has learned so much as she has matured.
Kohrra (July 15)
Kohrra is another crime thriller with a compelling plot that starts with the horrific act of killing an NRI just a few days before his wedding. The cast includes some well-known actors like Barun Sobti, Harleen Sethi, Suvinder Vicky, and Varun Badola, making it a must-see.
