In the impending sequel to their successful film Gadar, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel will reprise their roles as Tara Singh and Sakeena. Their box office prospects are excellent. Gadar 2’s advance ticket sales for its premiere have displayed unusual patterns, according to observers in the film industry. On August 11, the movie will be released.
Currently, approximately 76,600 tickets have been sold for the movie in multiplexes, according to the most recent observations. While the PVR chain has sold 33000 seats on the first day of Gadar 2, other well-known theatre chains like INOX and Cinepolis have sold 25,500 and 18,100 tickets, respectively, through pre booking.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared in a tweet, “#Gadar2 advance booking status at *national chains*… Note: DAY 1 biz… #PVR: 33,000 #INOX: 25,500 #Cinepolis: 18,100 Total: 76,600 tickets sold Advance bookings is extraordinary in mass circuits and single screen properties… All set for a massive Day 1.”
Gadar 2’s advance sales are greater than Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju, which sold 72K seats before to the film’s debut.
Anil Sharma, who also oversaw the first Gadar, is in charge of the sequel. The son of Sunny and Ameesha was portrayed in the movie by Utkarsh Sharma. Around 17 years after the events of Gadar, the sequel takes place in 1971.
Recently, the movie’s trailer was released on social media. The legacy of Tara Singh and Sakeena was included in the three-minute film, which was set against the turbulent Crush India Movement of 1971.
