Sainor Life Sciences Private Limited at JN Pharma City in Parawada, Visakhapatnam had benzimidazole gas leak. The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, June 30th.

There are reports that Sainor Life Sciences in Visakhapatnam’s Parawada Pharma City. The incident took place on Monday night after benzimidazole gas leaked. According to the reports 2 employees have died of gas leakage while 4 people have been hospitalized. Two persons died when the incident took place while four got ill after inhaling benzimidazole vapours. The deceased have been identified as Narendra and Gowri Shankar. It is being told that about 30 workers were in the factory at the time of the incident.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy took information about the incident from District Collector V. Vinay Chand and instructed him to ensure better treatment for the treatment of people admitted to the hospital. According to sources, a senior employee of the company was also among the dead.
The situation is under control now and the District Collector Vinay Chand has constituted a four-member team of officers led by the Joint Collector to investigate the cause of the accident. According to information gathered the district collector and other officials reached the spot in the morning and ordered an inquiry.
Let us inform that in the span of two months this is the second incident in the district. Earlier on Saturday, a laborer was killed in SPY Agro Industries in Kurnool district due to ammonia gas leaks. On May 7, 12 people died in a major gas leak that occurred in LG Polymers’ chemical plant. Nearly 3 thousand people were admitted to the hospital. Around 800 tonnes of dangerous styrene gas was leaked during this period.
