It appears that Varun Dhawan did not, after all, make Gigi Hadid feel awkward. On the second day of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center, a video of the two got viral. It showed the actor hoisting the supermodel onto the platform, turning her around in his arms, and kissing her good-bye. Many thought that throughout the entire show, Gigi appeared uncomfortable. Gigi has now put all rumours to bed by posting the identical video with Varun on Instagram, which was first shared by fashion designer Prabal Gurung.
She penned down, “Varun Dhawan making my Bollywood dreams come true.” Looks like all is indeed well between the two. Varun can be seen performing in videos that have gone popular online when he assists American supermodel Gigi with her entrance before picking her up in his arms. The actor spun the model around while she still looked surprised, and she even gave her a kiss on the cheek afterward.
“I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst ur bubble and tell u it was planned for her to be on stage so find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather then going out and doing something about things. Good morning (sic),” Varun tweeted.
He was addressing a social media user who called the behaviour “disgusting” “If you are a woman, you are not safe anywhere with anyone. Even if you are Gigi Hadid, invited to a party with an ‘elite’ crowd, guys like Varun dhawan will randomly pick you up and kiss you without your consent, all in the name of fUn. Disgusting (sic)” the tweet made the actor was later deleted, read.
The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), located inside the Jio World Centre at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai, was officially opened on Friday. On Saturday, the second day of the inaugural gala, the fashion showcase was unveiled.
