Actor Gippy Grewal took to his social media to express his disappointment over Bollywood. He shared a statement and said Bollywood for not standing up for Punjab.
Since the time the protest of the farmers started, it created a stir on social media. And every passing day the tension of the country is intensifying. As the protest is taking a different turn Delhi’s borders have been shut amidst the novel Coronavirus pandemic. In fact many actors from the entertainment industry have come forward and stood in favor of the farmers. Stars like Diljit Dosanjh, Sonu Sood, Sara Gurpal, and many more have shown their support to the farmers who are protesting. Although the stars are in support, it seems that actor Gippy Grewal is not satisfied and he expressed his disappointment over Bollywood for not showing that much support.
Meanwhile, actress Taapsee Pannu shared a tweet in which she said “Sir, just because the ones you expected to speak up did not please, don’t put us all under the same umbrella. She further said not that the handful of us need validation regarding standing up but it really pulls down our efforts when disregarded,’. After her tweet, Grewal replying to the actor said that his tweet wasn’t for Pannu and others who are supporting the farmers, but for those who call themselves Punjabi.

Let us tell you that the farmers on Friday announced a ‘Bharat Bandh’ on December 8, hardening their position ahead of the fifth round of talks with the government. And after the condition got worse several stars from the film fraternity like Pannu, Swara Bhasker, Richa Chadha, Sonu Sood, Hansal Mehta, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Divya Dutta, and Neha Sharma, have come out in support of farmers.
