It seems all is not well with Google nowadays. The company is failing to implement its own strategies when it comes to prohibiting pirated content. No doubt from the last couple of years, Google has done enough in a war against privacy but it requires more attention and action.

According to the Engadget, when a user searches for “streaming sites”, Google offered them a list of sites which includes both legal and illegal services. For example, a popular and legal site like Netflix is listed with sites like Putlocker and Alluc, which no doubt provides pirated content.
A Google spokesperson said: “These results are generated algorithmically, but in this particular case, do not reflect what we had in mind for this feature, and we are looking into it.”
Google explained that the error is due to its search algorithm and obviously it can’t realistically check all the possible result.
The company is already looking into the issue and will take appropriate actions. Many video and music companies have continuously argued that Google should remove these pirated sites from their search engines but Google only demotes them.
