Google has released its lists of the most searched for movies, TV series, celebrities, and more both internationally and in India as the exciting year of 2023 comes to an end. The year was filled with several Bollywood releases, OTT shows, and celebrity weddings. Notably, Shahid Kapoor’s Farzi tops the list of most searched shows in India, while Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan holds the top spot as the most searched movies. Kiara Advani takes the top spot on India’s list of trending individuals.
As per Google’s Year in Search 2023, Jawan leads the list of most searched-for Indian movies. Gadar 2, Oppenheimer, Adipurush, Pathaan, The Kerala Story, Jailer, Leo, Tiger 3, and Varisu follow closely behind.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan come in third and tenth place, respectively, in the global trending searches, while Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 comes in eighth.
Shahid Kapoor’s Farzi leads the list of the most searched shows in India. Wednesday, Asur, Rana Naidu, The Last of Us, Scam 2003, Bigg Boss 17, Guns and Gulaabs, Sex/Life, and Taaza Khabar are next on the list.
Kiara Advani had an amazing year on the personal and professional fronts. With Kartik Aaryan, she starred in the critically acclaimed film Satyaprem Ki Katha, which won appreciation from audiences. The wedding of Kiara to Sidharth Malhotra also became a big topic of conversation.
In India, Kiara topped the trendy People list during Google’s Year in Search 2023. She is currently ranked ninth among actors who are most sought after worldwide. Her spouse, Sidharth, rose to the sixth position in India’s popularity searches.
In the music business, people were still enthralled by the hit song Kesariya from the film Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, which starred Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. This catchy song, written by Pritam, sung by Arijit Singh, and with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, came in second place worldwide for people to hum while searching for music.
2023 also saw the tragic passing of Bollywood star Satish Kaushik, who came in fourth place among India’s most popular searches in the News & Events category.
