The Grammy Award is actually known as the Gramophone Award, presented annually by The Recording Academy to honor a person for his outstanding achievements in the Music industry (mainly in the English language).

It was first held on May4, 1959 to appreciate the musical accomplishments by performers for the year 1958. It is awarded by The Recording Academy’s voting membership to honor excellence in the field of recording arts and sciences.

The Recording Academy has officially announced their complete list of nominees for 59th Annual Grammy Award going to held on February 12, 2017, at 8 p.m onwards in the United States of America.

The field is led by Beyonce with 9 nominations, followed by similarly popular huge stars of the Music industry Drake, Rihanna and Kanye West with 8 nominations each in multiple categories, while Chance the Rapper picked up 7.

Following the league Adele get 5 nominations and Justin Beiber 4. Demi Lovato who earned her first nod in her entire musical career was totally surprised by the news that she was nominated for the Best Pop Vocal Album.

On the other hand, Sturgill Simpson is nominated too in  “The Album of The Year” category.

The Grammy Awards will live air on CBS on Sunday, Feb 12, 2017 at 8 p.m. ET. James Corden will host the event, which will take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles (USA). Don’t miss the event!
