The superstar of Punjabi music, Gurdas Maan is back with an emotional track ‘Punjab’. In it, he talks to a young Bhagat Singh and shows him the current situation of Punjab.
Maan has never done anything like this before and he gets carried away with the feelings and soul of the song. The video shows youth addicted to alcohol and drugs. Basically, he wants the people of Punjab to remember the sacrifices made by Bhagat Singh.
Gurdas Maan told Hindustan Times in an interview that “I did not want to hurt anyone or for that matter politicize the ills I feel so strongly about. I have received so much from Punjab and Punjabis that it is my responsibility to give a bit back.”
Gurdas Maan has gained national attention in 1980 with the song “Dil Da Mamla Hai.” Since then, he has gone on to record over 34 albums and has written over 305 songs.
