Meet Hanan Hamid, a true inspiration that has made many richest people in the country embarrass by doing something very unusual. Humanity is alive due to people like Hanan who feels the pain of others. She is a student at a private college at Thodupuzha in Idukki.
She is 21 years old college student from Thrissur, Kerala who was bullied online for selling fish to meet her educational needs earlier. Now she has donated Rs 1.5 lakh to Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. Hanan, a college student said the money was donated by various people to fund her education and take care of her family. She said,
“I had got the amount from people and I am happy to give back the amount to the needy. I’m giving back whatever I received, it’s the least I can do.”
Hanan, who has also worked as an anchor and flower girl for programmes to make ends meet, requested people to donate for the relief works. After this, she became a star overnight on the internet.
How she got all that money?
The third-year B.Sc Chemistry student, Hanan started receiving funds from well-wishers who wanted to help her after she was trolled in August. She said,
“On the second day of trolling, I started receiving money in 500s and 2000s into my account. This added up to Rs. 1.5 lakh. Now the people who helped me are facing huge losses and I want to give back their money. “
The world needs more people like Hanan so that it will become a better place to live in.
