Director Hansal Mehta, who as of late got hitched to his longtime partner Safeena Husain, has spoken about his experience of working with Kangana Ranaut. The actor-director duo has worked in ‘Simran’ that didn’t manage to dazzle the audience. In a new interaction, Hansal conceded that working with Kangana was a ‘massive mistake’.
Hansal agreed that Kangana is a good actress however he likewise said that they didn’t gel with one another on the sets. On being inquired as to whether took over the edit of the movie, he shared that there was nothing left to take over as they had only shot what she wanted to shoot.
While talking to Mashable India, Hansal said that Kangana is a ‘talented’ actress however he feels that she has limited herself by making movies about herself. He also said, ‘You need not make all the characters become what you want to believe you are’. Hansal additionally talked about her song ‘She’s on Fire’ from ‘Dhaakad’. He said that she’s basically talking about herself. He added that it’s not his place to criticise what decisions she makes. He ended by saying that she’s a big star and a good actress yet working with her was a ‘massive mistake’.
‘Simran’ was released in 2017 that also featured Sohum Shah. In the mean time, Hansal Mehta will be next working with Kartik Aaryan in ‘Captain India’.
