
Hawa Singh Latest News: Salman Khan shared the first look poster of Sooraj Pancholi’s next film on social media. This film is made on true events. Also, this will be the biopic of India’s famous heavyweight boxer Hawa Singh. He was also known as ‘Father of the Indian Boxing‘. The film will show the journey of a boy from the village to become a big name in the boxing world.
Sharing the first look poster of the film, Salman wrote, ‘Hawa Se Baate Karega Singh #HawaSinghBiopic’. In the poster, we can see Suraj drinking lassi from a large glass in a boxing ring and is wearing only diapers on his body. Prakash Nambiar will direct this film, while Kamlesh Singh Kushwaha and Sem S. Fernandes as its producer. The film will be shot in Haryana and will go on floors soon.
Who was Hawa Singh?
Hawaa Singh was born in Haryana in December 1937. He was a heavyweight boxer who won the gold medal for India at the Asian Games held in Bangkok in 1966 and 1970. Apart from this, he was also the champion in the heavyweight category of the National Championship for 11 consecutive years between 1961 and 1972. He was also honored with the Arjuna Award and the Dronacharya Award for his contribution to the sport. He died in August 2000.
