Shafia Armar a.k.a Yusu al-Hindi, is a native of Bhatkal in Karnataka. Recruitment of over two dozen of ISIS sympathisers has been successful for a nationwide terror attack. As a proof, fourteen of them were arrested by the NIA in January this year, Indian Express reported.
The NIA considers Shafia’s brain behind the IS’s online recruitment in the country, who is reportedly in touch with at least 800 Indians via Facebook and WhatsApp.
Shafia dreams to rule India with establishment of an Indian IS unit namely, Junud al Khalifa-e-Hind (Soliders of the Indian Caliphate).
Bhatkal once an active member of Indian Mujahideen, left to Pakistan along with his brother Mohammad Sultan Armar after the 2008 serial blasts, reported THE HINDU.
