Last Friday’s Heart of Stone, starring Jamie Dornan and Gal Gadot, marked Alia Bhatt’s significant Hollywood debut. Alia wasn’t observed doing any of those things, in contrast to other Indian stars whose Hollywood debuts included tours of the US, appearances on several foreign magazine covers, and appearances on late-night talk programmes. When Alia was asked why she wasn’t marketing her movie at a recent AMA on Instagram, the star explained the situation.
Alia averred, “As a team, we stand behind the SAG-AFTRA strike, and as a mark of solidarity, we haven’t been promoting the movie.”
But she has expressed her gratitude towards the love poured by her fans. “However I’ve been seeing all your messages and the outpouring of love!! Thankful for you all and sending all the love right back to you,” she added.
Alia Bhatt addressed questions from fans on Instagram.
Alia did not aggressively advertise Heart of Stone, although the cast did conduct a number of interviews prior to the strike, which were made public the week before the film.
In the movie Heart of Stone, Alia portrayed Keya Dhawan, a tech whiz who is introduced as such. Her character is searching for “The Heart,” an AI technology that has the power to end the planet. The movie ends with a hint about a sequel, and if one is done, Alia will probably feature in it.
Recently, Alia Bhatt has had a blast at the movies. She received a lot of praise for her performance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani by Karan Johar, in which she co-starred alongside Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. Alia has not yet made her next movie official.
