The Oscars 2021 is soon going to take place on 26th April. And it will be a bit different from the previous years. So let’s take some idea that how it is going to be.
The 2021 Oscars gala, is almost there. And guess what! It will have nothing to do with the hybrid and via Zoom galas that we have seen in previous awards shows. Has the American Film Academy forgotten that we are in a pandemic? Yes, without a doubt, it will be a gala that is different from all the previous ones. We already know the nominees and … many new details of the most anticipated ceremony of the year.
As the Academy has revealed, the gala will take place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles and it is expected that most of the attendees will do it in person, complying with all security measures. Although, yes, it is still not known who has confirmed their presence and who has not, there will be fewer people than other years but more than for example at the Golden Globes.
What the Academy has assured us that there will be no Zoom connections. And the invitation that has been summoned to everyone reads We are reaching high levels of security to guarantee a fun night. We believe that a virtual gala will not allow these efforts to be appreciated.” And yes PCRs will be performed on EVERYONE who is there that night. And for the outfits, the Academy calls for ‘formal’ clothing, a ‘fusion of aspirational and inspirational.
Now another thing is that if Brad Pitt would be there and the answer is Yes. Apart from him, the winners of an Oscar in the last edition will be there, such as Angela Bassett, Renée Zellweger, or Joaquin Phoenix. The confirmed guest list is yet to be closed.
