25 years old Hollywood actress Camila Mendes revealed something which is now hitting the headlines. She disclosed the horrific experience she endured the time she was in college. The Riverdale actor, who studied from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, said that she was drugged and sexually assaulted during her freshman year.
In a recent interview, she explained the meaning of the tattoo she has above her rib. Camila said, “I got the tattoo after my freshman year. I had a very, very bad experience. I was roofied by someone who sexually assaulted me.”
The actor noted that the tattoo worked as a reminder to “strengthen both her sense of self and the environment around her.” Camila said she never experienced how being at your own home feels like. It is because moving over 12 times as a child both because of her parents’ separation and her dad’s career.
The actress said, “I’ve always, always wanted nothing more than stability. Moving around throughout my whole childhood was a bit traumatic,” she added. “You’re constantly saying goodbye to people, and you’re constantly being removed from your identity. When you start to feel like you’re connecting with a group of people, an environment, and a home—a physical home—it can be destabilizing when you’re uprooted and taken somewhere else.”
This led her suffer a trauma during the childhood days.
