Delhi Crime fame actor Shefali Shah is at the pinnacle of her career for the past one year. She has been a part of numerous projects which have made headlines. The actor is brimming with success and acknowledgement from across the world. However, in a recent interview, the actor revealed despite all the success she is expecting for something bigger and better.
In recent conversation with India Today, when she averred, “I was expecting it, and I am expecting it, but I think what has happened after this year and all the releases is whatever role they must have thought of me has also stopped, because now they think we cannot go to her with a filler. I have heard this from writers and directors that they are writing stuff for me, which is great, but it also means that it might a wait for me again to do the kind of roles I want to.”
“You could have a short screen time but again, it finally comes down to how it is translated onscreen. It is not about length, but it is about the importance of the character in the film. That’s not the place I want to be in. I would do an ensemble film without a doubt if the character was important,” she added.
Shefali bagged the Best Actress in the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in 2022 for her beautiful portrayal of a house help trying to find his daughter’s culprit. Alongside Vidya Balan, she was seen in the lead role. She is now seen in Doctor G with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh, the film fairly managed to perform well at the box office and opened with a gross of ₹30 crore overseas.
