Endless Borders fetches Best Film Award
At IFFI 2023, the Persian film Endless Borders, which was directed by Abbas Amini, won Best Film. The movie portrays the trip of Ahmad, an exiled Iranian teacher, who lives in a destitute village near the Afghan border. Ahmad’s journey is driven by the upheaval caused by the rise of the Taliban regiment in Afghanistan. The jury praised the film’s ability to cross both emotional and physical barriers and praised Amini’s fearlessness, which is clearly obvious in his gripping storytelling.
