Beautiful Ileana D’Cruz is Suffering From a Tragic Body Disorder, Once She Decided to Commit Suicide

Ileana D’Cruz has revealed something that shocked everyone. She has body dysmorphic disorder and for that, she suffered depression. The actress says at one point in her life she felt suicidal. But once she accepted herself, she started feeling better. In an interview, the Rustom actress said,

“I was always a very self-conscious person and was picked on for my body type. I used to feel low and sad all the time but didn’t know I was suffering from depression and Body Dysmorphic Disorder until I got help. All I wanted to do was to be accepted by everyone.”

‘Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) is an anxiety disorder that causes a person to have a distorted view of how they look and to spend a lot of time worrying about their appearance. The reason why Ileana’s thigh look so bigger. This is the reason she wears dresses that hide her thighs or she avoids giving full body shots in the films.

She went on to say,

“At one point, I even had suicidal thoughts and wanted to end things. However, all of it changed when I accepted myself and what I was going through. I think that is the first step towards fighting depression.”

She further said,

“It is a chemical imbalance in your brain and needs to be treated. Don’t sit back and think it will get okay but go get help. Like you have a sprain and go get yourself checked if you have depression, seek help. Be like Winnie the Pooh. He wore a crop top, ate his favorite food all day and loved himself, you can too.”

She added,

“You’re human, you’re not meant to be perfect. You’re meant to be flawed. I’m just going to keep pushing and try and be the best of the version that I can be of me.”
