Michael Keaton is not yet sure whether he actually wants to take the role of superhero the Batman again. Despite reports that he would have a role in The Flash , he doesn’t seem to have signed a contract yet. He hints that in an interview with Deadline.
Michael Keaton starred as Bruce Wayne aka the Batman in Tim Burton ‘s two Batman moviesfrom 1989 and 1992. And while it’s true that Warner Bros. wants him back for The Flash , the actor himself still has doubts whether he wants to travel to the United Kingdom next month to wriggle into the Batman costume again after almost twenty years.
” The truth is, I have a version of the script somewhere on my iPad that I haven’t even had time to read, ” Keaton told Deadline. ” I’ve called them [the producers] and they honestly say I’m really too busy with other things right now, including producing my own movie. So I have yet to look at the final version of the script .”
Corona fear
Keaton says he can’t say yet if he will make his appearance in The Flash with Ezra Miller. The developments around Covid-19 also weigh heavily for the 69-year-old actor. The recordings of the DCEU project will take place in the United Kingdom from next month and the situation is of course not too good there.
” I keep a close eye on developments there and base all my decisions on them. I live outside the city, far away from everyone and I am really worried about this situation. So if I think that a project is not going to take my life. then I’m willing to talk, ”said Keaton.
Let’s hope so, because should Keaton decide not to dust off his superhero suit , director Andy Muschietti ( It) and his team a small problem. Then the script should be rewritten quickly
