South Africa has once again won the toss and this time it was a different Proteas skipper – Keshav Maharaj, who will be leading tonight after Temba Bavuma goes unavailable.
Bavuma opened for South Africa in the 4th T20I and ultimately got hit by the hall a few times which forced Bavuma to leave the ground and the retired hurt player was not able to return to bat.
The serious injury has forced Bavuma to go unavailable for the series decider due to which Keshav will be leading tonight.
After winning the toss Keshav Maharaj said – “We will bowl first, the overhead conditions, the dew, we can look to exploit the conditions, but it does look like a good wicket to bat on. Tristan Stubbs, Reeza Hendricks and KG Rabada are back, they replace Temba Bavuma, Marco Jansen and Shamsi. We have gone for the extra batter, hopefully, we’ll look to utilize it while batting up front,” said skipper Maharaj
