Indian coach Rahul Dravid and skipper Rishabh Pant have a bit of a rarity moment as they consider the same eleven for the second T20I.
Fans were awaiting a debut match for young pacer Umran Malik but might have to wait for another game or maybe another series. India lost miserably due to the bowling unit and the analysts too predicted some sort of change tonight but Rishabh’s strategy to go on with the same team gives a message to South Africa of “How about a challenge?”.
Cuttack will be hosting the second T20I game as South Africa opted to bowl first and here are the playing XI for both the teams.
INDIA: Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant(w/c), Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan
South Africa: Temba Bavuma(c), Reeza Hendricks, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen(w), Dwaine Pretorius, Wayne Parnell, Keshav Maharaj, Tabraiz Shamsi, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje
“We would have bowled first as well. The track is nice. We would want to have a big score on this. There weren’t many things we did wrong in the last game, just a bit of execution was off and we will do better today. We are playing the same team,” said captain Pant during the Toss.
