On Thursday, India officially rejected Pakistan’s letter to hold talks on Kashmir issues. Pakistan had earlier invited the Indian foreign secretary to Islamabad to hold talks on Bilateral talks on the disputed, and terrorism affected Jammu and Kashmir. But India has rejected Pakistan’s letter saying ” that we will only discuss the issue of terrorism and alleged infiltration of militants with Pakistan”. The news made formal as India’s Secretary for External Affairs SJ Shankar wrote a letter to Islamabad in which India stated that “India would not hold dialogue with Pakistan over Kashmir issue”.

And later Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad Gotam Bambawale handed over the letter to Foreign Affairs Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry.“India has rejected the proposal saying that it would only hold talks with Pakistan on terrorism and the alleged infiltration of militants from the Line of Control (LoC),” said the Foreign Office.

The whole issue is rising because of the SAARC conference which will be held in November 2016 in Islamabad. A key official said  according to The Hindu that “When a country regularly sends uninvited guests [terrorists] to you, the visit of the PM to that country will be decided on a policy basis”.
