Indian army conducted strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) against terrorist launch pads on Wednesday, said director general of military operations, Ranbir Singh. Singh, in a joint conference, added that – “Based on very specific and credible information which we received yesterday, The Indian army conducted surgical strikes across the LoC.” The operations carried out on Wednesday night had been discontinued and he had contacted the Pakistani director general of military operations with the details of the Indian strikes.
Sources said that at least two terror camps were struck during the surgical strikes. Ranbir Singh also added that the armed forces will not allow terrorists to carry out any attacks in Jammu and Kashmir or any major Indian cities. Furthermore, PTI reported that Strongly condemning “unprovoked and naked aggression” by India along the LoC, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable of defending the territorial integrity of the country.
