The committee comprising VVS Laxman, Saurav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar had postponed the announcement after interviewing all of them. But, COA has made it clear that it does not want any further delay and BCCI should have to announce the name today.
According to The Indian Express, Saurav Ganguly had said yesterday: “We want to speak to Virat Kohli, once he is back from America, all three of us, the respective people concerned, we will explain to him that the coaches want to function in a certain way and make sure everybody is on the same page once we make the announcement, it has to be till the World Cup.”

Ravi Shastri, a Virat Kohli Favourite
Ravi Shastri was interviewed on Skype. He was Indian cricket team director for two years (2014-16). Interestingly, he is also Kohli’s favourite, therefore may be considered to become team India head coach again.
Virender Sehwag, a CAC favourite
Virender Sehwag spent almost an hour with the committee. Moreover, he was the only one who turned up personally for the interview.
