World Cup winning all-rounder Madan Lal slams his remarks on Rajasthan Royals’ player Riyan Parag without any hesitation.
Madan Lal opens up about the “downfall” of Riyan and believes that he shouldn’t be given much of an importance or weightage in any team or talks.
Madan Lal stated that Riyan Parag is not a “big player” to be given an importance about. Riyan Parag is already drowning in negativity by cricket fans due to his misconduct and misbehaving attitude with 3rd Umpire, Marcus Stoinis and also when he showed frustration to his senior player Ravichandran Ashwin for not giving him the strike for the last ball.
“Riyan Parag has played all matches but hasn’t given a single performance. When you talk of him… he is not that big a player who can change the game. Until now, all the IPLs that have taken player, and all the players who have taken part, they all have shown improvement and stepped up. But this player (Parag) hasn’t shown any progress given the number of chances he has got. The slot at which he plays is very important in T20 cricket. Because that is where you can accelerate and score runs. Now if you can’t score runs from there, your difficulties will only increase,” said Madan Lal ( via Sports Tak)
