Indian Oil’s marketing manager was arrested on Thursday by The Special Operation Group (SOG) of  Rajasthan Police in Jaipur, for allegedly instigating youth while trying to recruit for Islamic State through social media.


The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) stated that Mohammad Sirajuddin had been using WhatsApp groups and Internet Forums to encourage muslim youth to join ISIS.

They even tracked Sirajuddin’s online activities to confirm the accusations claiming that they have “Solid Information” against the man, as reported by The Indian Express.


Alok Tripathi, ADG of ATS told Times Of India that Sirajuddin had started reruiting for ISIS nearly five months ago, urging and inciting the youth to work for the Extremist Group.

The ATS also claimed that they found “Objectionable material” at his house in Jaipur.
