Yet another Vande Bharat Express is anticipated to be introduced soon by the Indian Railways. Ranchi and Patna will be served by a fresh quasi-high speed train. This will be the second new-generation train for the South Eastern Railway (SER) zone and the first blue and white-colored train for Jharkhand and Bihar.
In conversation with Financial Express, Aditya Kumar Chaudhary, CPRO, South Eastern Railway averred, “The work for introducing Vande Bharat is going on in several routes.”
Details/ Itinerary of Vande Bharat Express (Ranchi-Patna route)
The Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express route is still being decided. “Details of routes have not been finalised,” CPRO, SER. The train would most certainly travel from Ranchi to Patna via Gaya.
Distance and Travel Time
In less than six hours, the new Vande Bharat Express is anticipated to travel more than 410 kilometres. Currently, the Ranchi-Patna-Ranchi Jan Shatabdi Express, or 12365/12366, is the fastest train connecting the two state capitals. The same route is travelled in 07:55 hours by the Jan Shatabdi Express.
Fare of Vande Bharat Express (Bihar route)
The first Vande Bharat Express, which will run between Bihar and Jharkhand, will cost more to ride than the AC Chair Car class of the Jan Shatabdi Express. Between Ranchi and Patna, the AC Chair Car on the Jan Shatabdi Express costs Rs 650.
Frequency and stoppages in the given route
It is anticipated that the brand-new semi-high speed train between Ranchi and Patna will run six days per week. The Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express is scheduled to stop at a few key significant stations along the route between the two cities, including Gaya, Koderma, HazariBagh Road, Parasnath, and Bokaro Steel City.
Semi-high speed trains were inaugurated last month on four separate routes by the national transporter. These are the Vande Bharat Expresses from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod, Ajmer to Delhi Cantt, Chennai to Coimbatore, and Secunderabad to Tirupati.
