Indian Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi, with a thought of better and completely digital India, is implementing new rules and regulations to make sure people do not suffer the consequences of solely custom based laws. And new rule will make all the women of India breathe a sign of relief as Indian Women no more need to change surnames on their passports after marriage.
Mr. Narendra Modi on the event of golden jubilee of the Indian Merchant Chambers’ ladies wings made an announcement that from now onwards Indian women no more need to change surnames on passport after marriage and he further added if the house was registered in the name of women, she no more needs to submit marriage or divorce certificates in order to apply for passport.
He further added that Central government had been doing too much lately to empower women of India and he mentioned that the 70% of the loan seekers under Mudra yojana were women. He also mentioned that more than 1.20 crore rural women have already been showered with the benefits of Ujjwala Yojna.
This is indeed a great step that Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has taken in order to take part in the development of Women as Women are the foundations of the society and being in such an orthodox society and still getting wings to fly is a great deal. Now, Women of India can breathe a sign of relief with less burdened rules and regulations to follow.
