The crucial match is going on between India and New Zealand. It is the first semi-final match in the cricket’s biggest tournament, World Cup. Both the teams are fighting to grab a place in the finals. Yesterday on July 9, 2019, the match started at its prime time in England and New Zealand was able to play only 46 overs as the rain disrupted the match.
Unique in itself, it was probably the first time ICC didn’t draw the match and made it start from where it was left the next day i.e today July 10, 2019. The match is still going on! New Zealand ended its batting spell of 50 overs by making 239 runs for 8 wickets.
India holds the bat now and really made a poor start as it lost 4 major wickets on just 24 runs, which is a shock to all the Indian cricket fans. Players that were sent back to the Pavillion by the new Zealand bowlers are Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Dinesh Kartik. With this scenario, it is seeming very difficult that India will win today’s match but cricket is the play of uncertainties so let’s hope for the best!
