India Vs England: India Beat England In First ODI, Kohli and Jadhav Hit Centuries

The first one-day international match played between India and England after so many controversies had taken a great start. India beat England with the help of magnificent centuries made by skipper Virat Kohli and Kedhar Jadhav. England gave a target of 350 to chase and India accomplished it and beat England by 3 wickets.

Kohli made a spectacular score of 122 runs in the limited overs series and supported by the Jadhav who made other impressive 120 runs playing at fifth position. India achieved the target with 11 balls to spare.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya also played a wonderful stroke of innings and made 37 runs off 40 balls. England gave a huge score of 350 runs to chase which was also their highest-ever ODI total against the hosts in India, 350-7, with Jason Roy (73), Joe Root (78) and Ben Stokes (62).

Kohli and Jadhav made a perfect partnership of runs and made India win the match. Yuvraj Singh who returned to the ODI team after a three-year gap, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (6), playing his first match after relinquishing his limited overs captaincy, failed to impress the audience with their bats.

However, even after the wonderful innings played by Kohli and Jadhav, the match took the interesting turn when both of them got out. India still needed 50 runs to win. Hardik Pandya then came as a guiding light and stunned everybody with his majestic strokes.
