The already won series by team India is being played for another match as this will be the last T20I clash between Indian women and Sri Lanka women before the ODI race begins.
India have already won both the T20Is and have secured the series win. India has a lethal chance to whitewash the Sri Lankans, while the hosts will be looking for a consolation win.
Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur opted to bat first for the final T20I clash, allowing their players to play with less stress and naturally.
” We are going to bat, playing with the same XI. We are able to execute whatever we are planning in team meetings. Just to need get more partnerships,” said Indian skipper Kaur.
“We would have bowled first if we won the toss. We trust out top order batters but we are short of some 20 runs, which is why we lost the last game. 140 seems to be a good score to chase here,” said home side captain Chamari Athapaththu.
