Skipper Pandya preferred Umran Malik to bowl after the power play after giving Harshal Patel only one over in the power play.
Umran got only one over in his debut game to which he conceded 14 runs but tonight has started well by conceding only 6 runs. The 6 runs coming from Umran Malik’s over was from the single delivery after Andrew Balbirnie smashed a wonderful pull shot.
India has managed to score 227 runs at the end of the first innings against the home side Ireland.
Deepak Hooda’s century and his partnership with Sanju Samson, being the highest partnership for team India, assisted the visitors in put an opportunity to whitewash the series.
Ireland was able to score over 100 runs in 12 overs in the last match against India and have to manage themselves with the same striking attitude.
Hardik Pandya and their side are playing with 3 tactical changes as Ruturaj’s niggle in the previous game allows Sanju Samson to prove his comeback. Harshal Patel will be replacing Avesh Khan for some slower and magical deliveries, and young spinner Ravi Bishnoi gets an opportunity to take hold of the position in place of Yuzvendra Chahal.
