This world is a dramatic place! You won’t believe the renowned actor of Bollywood, Alok Nath aka the Sanskari Babuji who got accused of rape in the wake of #MeToo movement in India will play a role of judge. Surprisingly, the film will be based on the #MeToo movement.
Alok Nath was accused of rape and sexual harassment by writer-producer Vinta Nanda. She accused him of raping her 19 years ago. She was the writer and producer of TV serial ‘Tara’ in the 90s, in which Alok Nath played a lead role. Post these allegations, he was expelled by Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA).
Not only Vinta Nanda but actresses like Navneet Nishan, Sandhya Mridul, Himani Shivpuri and Deepika Ain also accused him of sexual misconduct.
According to the latest reports, Alok Nath is all set to appear in a film based on #MeToo movement, titled as Main Bhi. He will be seen playing a judge in the film.
Now, what will you call it, isn’t it an irony?
