Recently, an image of ‘Chicken Masala’ spice by “Patanjali” went viral on social media with many confused it to be a product manufactured by Patanjali Ayurved Limited which is a company of Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna.
Twitter users started trolling Ramdev over this controversy. One wrote: “Hight of hypocrisy, A man who preaches to be Shakahari sells Chicken Masala
#FraudRamdev #Patanjali. While other commented: “ye Blinker Ramdev Says “Do Yoga, Go Vegan”, then why there’s Patanjali Meat and chicken Masala (Spices) in Market?”
The Truth Behind This News
Soon after this news started trending on various social networking sites, a spokesman for Patanjali told BOOM that this is totally fake news and the company does not sell any chicken masala. Moreover, they will take a legal action against this website.
What Is Patanjali Foods International?
According to their About Us page, Patanjali Foods is a Canadian Corporation and is a fast growing FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods company) in North America. They have copied the Patanjali Ayurved’s logo with a few minor changes.
The company is registered under the name of Jagjit Dhami, who in an e-mail to Boom said:
“This is a Canadian Corp and has no connection to Patanjali Ayurved.”
