Since Taylor Swift began attending Travis Kelce’s games early this season, there have been rumors about the couple, with many wondering if their relationship was merely for influence. The managers of the Kansas City Chiefs star, however, maintain that their romance is real and that it was never their intention to make Kelce famous.
In a piece about the grand scheme to make Travis Kelce a household name, the New York Times disclosed that Kelce’s business managers, André and Aaron Eanes, had always wanted him to become as well-known as The Rock.

“People say to me, ‘Man, it’s been a crazy year,’” Aaron said. “When I say, ‘Actually, it’s not that crazy,’ people look at me funny. It’s because it’s easy when you have a plan. We’re executing that plan,” he added.
They talked about how Kelce’s profile had risen dramatically in the last year and stated that their goal was to make the two-time Super Bowl champion greater than the typical athlete. Their approach has resulted in several commercials, a broader range of business ventures, and a hosting position on Saturday Night Live.
They averred, “No, the plan did not include Taylor Swift.” That is to say, Kelce’s rise in popularity as a result of his relationship with the singer of Cruel Summer is unrelated to his goal of being well-known. Put otherwise, their partnership isn’t a publicity gimmick.

André Eanes continued, “We positioned Travis to be world famous. We didn’t know how it would happen, or when it would happen, or what would help push that further along. But it’s always been the thought in the back of our minds.”
Paige VanZant, a former UFC fighter, called the romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce “completely manufactured.”VanZant thinks the partnership is a publicity gimmick. She said that the 12-time Grammy winner is working with Kelce to reach a different audience on her podcast, Page and Austin.
She mentioned in a podcast, “It is publicity. It is- one, it’s huge for the NFL because yes, the NFL is big. Taylor Swift is huge and now she’s getting an entirely different demographic to come watch the NFL.”
That is to say, Kelce’s desire to become well-known has nothing to do with the popularity he has gained via his relationship with the singer of Cruel Summer. Stated differently, their collaboration isn’t a marketing ploy.

VanZant further added, “Think of the wives that are buying Travis Kelce jerseys now. It’s a huge publicity play on both fronts. It’s good for Taylor Swift, it’s good for the NFL, it’s good for Travis Kelce. There is so much strategic stuff that’s happening.”
