The secret hideout of injured ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been located, according to Iraqi to military forces. Iraqi forces are closing in on the supreme leader of the so-called caliphate as his wicked jihadist empire faces annihilation.
Baghdadi has totally lost the control on the ground in Iraq as ISIS is at the stake of defeat. Military chiefs say that his power in the region namely Mosul has declined and fighters still loyal to him are fighting without leadership.
His role in Mosul, which ISIS has occupied for two years is over, says Iraqi general Abdel Amir Yarallah. It comes as the US military has deployed around 274 soldiers to northern Iraq to recapture the city from ISIS fighters.
Commander of operations for the Nineveh regiment, Mr Yarallah said Baghdadi is thought to be hiding in al-Jazeera, near the Syrian border. He told local media: “The information we have show that Baghdadi is not at places where we are fighting but at al-Jazeera area, near to the Syrian borders, especially in areas that were not liberated.”
He added that information suggests that he fled after being injured in the wake of airstrikes. “[Baghdadi has] totally lost control on the ground. Those with him are fighting without leadership. They fight through decentralised control in areas where we are fighting. His role there is over anyway.”
Baghdadi reportedly admitted his defeat in Mosul in February. In a farewell speech, he is said to have urged his troops to flee urban areas to the mountains.
Terrifying masked special forces have been ordered to take out the ISIS leader. The counter-terror attack unit has been given the orders to attack the ISIS head honcho. An elite task force US trained troops with skull branded masks, balaclavas and insignia are leading the assassination mission.
“Golden Division” commandoes has been ordered to kill the boss of death cult on sight.
Yahya Rasul Zubaidi, a spokesperson for the Iraqi Special Operations Command, said: “The intelligence is tracking the movements of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and as soon as we detect his exact location, we will immediately attack him, not hesitating a second.”
