An artist from Jaipur has crafted a majestic spoon which is reportedly the world’s smallest wooden spoon. Navratan Prajapati has carved his name at the Guinness World Records (GWR) for the smallest creation of just 2mm in height and 0.7 inches long. GWR posted a clip featuring the artist who is seen chiseling the wood to make the smallest ever spoon of the given material.
“Guinness World Records is the Kohinoor diamond in records and after receiving it I feel like wearing the most magnificent crown on my head,” the artist averred while talking to Guinness World Records.
Navratan also aims to develop a miniature craft museum in the near future.
“New record: Smallest wooden spoon – 2 mm (0.7 inches) made by Navratan Prajapati Murtikar (India),” the post caption read.
Navratan Prajapati on the hindsight also bagged the Limca World Record certificate for crafting the smallest lantern back in the year 2006. The lantern was functional for few seconds which required three to four drops of kerosene.
According to the Guinness World Records, a man from Telangana held the record for making the smallest spoon. Gowrishankar Gummadidhala crafted wooden spoon which was 4.5 mm long in 2021.
