It has been confirmed by the officials of the BCCI that Rohit Sharma, the appointed captain of team India, has been ruled out of the last Test due to COVID-19 and Jasprit Bumrah, the previously appointed deputy, will be leading the Indian side in the whites.
It will be a dream come true moment for the lethal pacer and no one would have imagined a pacer to lead team India.
The last team it happened was when Kapil Dev, 1983 World Cup winning captain, led the Indian team for some memorable wins. After 35 long years India has decided to give the captain responsibility to a pacer.
