Few people would have predicted that the record-breaking opening day attendance of Shah Rukh Khan’s spy thriller Pathaan earlier this year would be quickly exceeded. According to early predictions, Shah Rukh’s own action film Jawan could possibly succeed, according to a report from Sacnilk.com.
According to the source, Jawan’s domestic box office debut on September 7 is predicted to bring in roughly 75 crore across the three languages of Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. This is merely a selection from Day 1, which also happens to be a holiday because of Janmashtami and falls on a Thursday. Before the first Monday arrives, it is expected to have a fantastic run on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
According to the same survey, the Hindi version had a 46% first day occupancy rate. The movie outperformed Pathaan on Day 1 with ticket sales of 14 lakh.
Pathaan, which was released on January 25th, also had a long weekend. To have a successful run at the box office, it had Republic Day, the national holiday, on Thursday, the following Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The highest opening for a Hindi film to date was achieved by Pathaan with 27.02 crore. However, with the presence of Tamil film legends like Atlee, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, Jawan is also likely to earn more in the South markets.
A copy of the movie was leaked on Telegram and pirate websites hours before it opened in theatres. Jawan is expected to overcome this setback owing to the strong word-of-mouth from the public and reviewers alike, even though it may have an impact on the movie’s revenue.
Atlee is the director of the action-thriller Jawan. Among the other actors who appear in it are Sanjay Dutt, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, and Ridhi Dogra. Red Chillies Entertainment, which is owned by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, produced it. Anirudh Ravichander is the composer of the soundtrack.
