Never Say Never, After 10 Years An Indian Wrestler Won WWE Title

Every Indian got shocked after Jindal Mahal, an Indian wrestler defeated Randy Orton and won the title of WWE Championship in WWE Backlash 2017. His victory was a shocker to many fans, who couldn’t bare the thought of Mahal actually becoming WWE Champion. But Mahal is indeed a much better option to hold that title than Orton.

Jinder Mahal lives in Canada but he is originally from Phillaur, Punjab. Mahal debuted in 2011, then after a year of doing little, he collaborated with 3 Man Band faction, it was a comedic trio of three wrestlers who couldn’t play instruments or sing but pretend they are great singers but actually beaten on TV each week. He was essentially used as enhancement talent, wrestlers whose job it is to lose to the more popular stars, in order to make them look good.

He was let go in 2014, rehired in 2016 and until earlier this month you could count on one hand the matches he’d won. He shares a good friendship bond with Bollywood Boyz who were presented there with him outside the rings when won the WWE Championship title.

He won this title after 10 years. Earlier, in 2007 the great Khali won the title and became the first Indian to win such a big title.
